On the dock
we gaze into the water
reluctant to say goodnight
The seagull glides
and the sun closes her eyes
until she again meets night
Brilliant warmth
of some masterpiece found
is setting upon my heart
The night grows a breeze
within a distant sound
the I Love You -
before we part
Lying back gently
inside of your arms
the sky opens into our dream
Whisper me strength
to leave you for now
with that reassurance you bring
Sit with me silently
one moment more
while the ocean sings her tune
Smile as your memory
