Metamorphosis
Beneath the harsh, cold January freeze
A butterfly safe in her cocoon believes
Inside of her, a fragile and protected heart
A strength from within that will carry her far
Wings are forming and will bring new changes
the beauty of her destiny revealed in stages
Quietly she sleeps still and secure
Words heal her wounds and her love remains pure
The wind whips harshly through the forest and trees
Safely dreaming the butterfly is forever at ease
Watch this miracle emerge into the light
As she flutters her wings and embraces life
The butterfly flies far and forever to find Home
And silently lands on the branches alone
She is a guardian angel to your deep love
Even a butterfly can be found in the stars above
Throughout time and seasons she follows a path
Softly smiling and thinking, she remembers the past

Her colors are different now
but they will never fade away
