THE CAFE - Chapter 1
Her lavender silk sundress rippled over her legs, rising and falling with the breeze. The waiter, prim and proper and in somewhat of a hurry, carelessly tossed the crisp, white linen square over her lap as he moved onto the next table. She noticed an approaching tall shadow out of the corner of her eye, and felt her face flushing for no apparent reason.
"Allow me," a man gestured towards her. His hands slightly extended outward, physically inquiring permission to lay her napkin in her lap.
Knight in shining khakis she playfully mused to herself, knodding her head to accept his kind offer. She studied his strong hands moving towards her slightly sun-kissed skin. With incredibly, perfect hands. She wondered briefly how gentle those hands would feel upon her flesh. He slowly unfolded the woven cloth and replaced it gingerly across her lap. Their eyes met for a moment, and his piercing blue-sky stare released an immediate desire deep within her to want to discover what lay behind his smile...
