Down The Street

I ran down the street
                        just hoping we would meet
                        Then I saw you there
but her hands were in your hair
He smile was sweet and genuine
you had been there for quite some time
                        I could see your lies
reflected in her bright blue eyes
so I leaned against our tree
and wondered if you ever loved me

What would you have me do?
How can my arms keep holding you
                        when someone else's heart
                        is breaking us apart
Do I walk away from here
or hide the pain and dry my tears
                        The hurt won't dissipate
                        and you never will appreciate
When I leaned against our tree
and thanked you for leaving me
