Translating the Rain

Finding undisturbing softness
in translation of the quiet rain
I sigh for the longing memory
of your tender touch upon my skin
And needing so much
to you feel you here
beside me
inside of me
I withold the single tear of joy
that I would shed secretly
upon finding you in my bed once again
breathing life and bringing beauty
into my cold and lonely world
