Awaken

I looked out at the stars
                        they greeted me with a song
                        Singing a melody from our past
                        we've known it all along

                        They hinted to me of a year
                        full of promise and surprise
                        I stared at the dark night's mystery
                        and began to see your eyes

                        I felt warmth and comfort
                        from a familiar place I know
                        You seemed to be calling me
                        from somewhere I cannot yet go

                        I smiled and thought to myself
                        this could be the time
                        We will open our eyes and awaken
                        and discover what we must find
