Mother Daughter Dance

I first learned to walk
                        then I was able to run
                        The world seemed so brilliant
                        brighter than the sun

                        I continued to grow
                        and life became real
                        You taught me to see
                        showed me how to feel

                        You held me so close
                        in times of my trials
                        You patiently dried my tears
                        after walking for miles

                        All that I hope for
                        and everything that I do
                        Is nothing but possible now
                        because it's from you

                        I took what you taught me
                        and apply it each day
                        Trying to make the right decisions
                        and still find my way

                        Life is a gift, Mom
                        and Love is a dance
                        You taught me to give freely
