Sobbing silently
broken and lost
she surrendered unwillingly
to the tightness in her throat
and decided she couldn't cope anymore
without the tender touch
of his strong hand
upon her heated breast
that protected her weakened heart
and revealed her hastened breath
to release their hurt
and heal their hope
so they could start again
With tears unrestrained...
she longed to kiss the rain
