How long will you love me
She constantly would ask
He'd laugh it off
or roll his eyes
She was always wondering things like that
How long will you love me
she asked him one starry night
He pushed back her hair from her face
and commented on her eyes
They walked along
past the woods
even right by the place they'd met
She couldn't understand why
he hadn't answered her yet
How long will you love me
She quietly sighed as she slept
He stood so still
by her bedside
and hands in face he wept
Her death was growing closer
he could not say goodbye
He had to tell her something
and he began to try...
I will love you for Eternity
I will love your soul, your heart
I will love you in the darkest times
I will love you near or far
She turned to him
but couldn't speak
to ask of him once more
He closed the blinds
tucked the blanket around her
and slowly shut the door
As he saw her spirit leave
he leaned in to give her a kiss
I will love you he whispered
my darling, only for as long...
as anything exists
