Once upon a Fairytale
in a Land unlike our own
There stood a Palace of Strength and Love
surrounded by water and stone
Majestic dragons of distant lifetimes
glide swoop and perpetually dive
Impish Faeries with sparkling eyes
dance 'round the moons and come alive
Five purple suns in the heat of the day
shine down on the vast kingdom below
Knight loves Young Maiden and steals her away
to a place where crystal rivers flow
Alone in the clearing their sighs intertwine
with the rising heat of their actions
A loving embrace, a deeply felt kiss
an explosion of desire and passions
But the Kingdom shall not remain so blisffully safe
For the Enemy creeps and dangers unfold;
A midnight raven furiously cries in vain
for the Knight to awaken and Take Hold...
Firey battles rage upon the Castle
Warriors and soldiers march into Hell
The Knight hears the call from his Brothers-in Arm
and bids his Young Maiden farewell
Crying out for his valient and loyal dark steed
in a voice commanding wind, fire and rain
Silver shield raised up high and sword touching the sky
the brave Knight rides to restore Hope again
His galloping horse travels like lightening and speed
taking paths through the clouds and the thunder
Upon reaching his home he falls to his knees
for most of the great walls have crumbled
The Enemy silently awaits him near
his sly grin and red eyes glowing bright
The Knight feels his evil and searches him out
in the place where his father lost the Great Fight
Angry eyes meet determined ones
Fog rolls in and darkens the land
Enemy amd Knight begin the challenge to see
who will destroy or save this haven in the end
Gleaming tips of powerful swords meet and strike with
malice
Knight is well trained and has strength from the gods
and the unwavering will to save his palace
Losing in the end with a look and a curse
the Enemy falls to the ground
The Young Maiden and village emerge from their hiding
and praise their Knight's victory in song
But the Knight was cut deep from his mission
and needs breath for eternal sleep
Though his good deeds and protection did well
His own life to give he can't keep
He looks one last time at his beautiful Maiden
with a soft smile and promise to love
She cries for what might have been in the future
A final kiss and his soul flies away like a dove
