icy road ahead
slippery when taken
light shining blinding bright
veering to find me unbroken
invisible detour missed
having no direction
rain pours down washing away
my midnight drive's reflection
stopping on the bridge
waters churning below
opening the door looking around
for someone I'll never know
viewing another death
climbing the rail
feet braced and arms open wide
I give up this empty shell
falling into darkness
freezing and drowning instantly
saying goodbye to all that I lost
the moment you looked at me
