Squeeze

If you squeeze the crystal
around the center
with both hands
on either side
very tightly
but hold on gently
The glass will stay
in tact, safe and solid
held in your hands
But if you move your fingers
even slightly apart
I will shatter
shards of sadness
all over your carelessness
deep into your skin

And the blood will start
